The Architect

Have a super-amazing incredible breath-taking heart-stopping extraordinary SKILL OF DRAWING?

Then, be a drafter instead.

...

Being an architect is somewhat complicated. It's not that simple. But in the same time, it's not that complex too.

It's about how many ways of thinking you have, taking desicions, twisted paradigms, swimming in other people's thoughts,

reading psychological minds, predicting the cause and it's consequences, confidence, arrogance, building up idealism, contemplating, sense of creating,

stimulating imaginations, breaking the laws, cross the border, surpass the limit, constructing elements, dealing with ego, time and space,

socialization, completing the puzzles, learning the habit, presenting ideas, structures, theme and concepts, an enormous amount of self-esteem,

critical thinking, gives 'life', feel what others felt, harmony, luck, logic, rules, respect, illusion, philosophy, justice, freedom, aesthetics...

and so on and on and on..

and on.

...

Yes, it's not that i forgot to put some 'drawing skill' on the list, but i don't think i have to. It's out of context.

It's not about drawing.
Seriously.

It's about architecture.

...

One of my architecture book has this written on it:

"an engineer is a specialist. an architect is a generalist.a specialist knows everything about one thing.
but a generalist knows one thing about everything."

An architect is a creator. They're not just randomly making things, they CREATE it.

They create something tangible from the intangible.
From void to solid. From nothing to something.

Engineers are making buildings.
Industrialists are making products.
Doctors are making their patients stay healthy.
Lawyers are making the law runs smoothly.
Businessmen are making money.

But, what's the difference between making and creating?

Let God be an example; He
created humans
created animals
created plants
created planets
created stars
created life
created angels
created devils
created heaven
created hell
created atoms, molecules, particles, this whole universe...

And architects are creating desireable spaces.
A manmade environment for engineers, doctors, lawyers, businessmen/women, to work in.
To live in.
To use it for their own purposes.

Good architecture is something that can make people want to do these things such as;

see it with their own eyes,

hear it with their own ears,

taste it with their own tongue,

touch it with their own hands,

smell it with their own nose,

feel it with their very own heart.

and they'll want to have it, to own it, possess it.

...

So, it isn't about buildings (and drawing).

We all know that our Performance Art is NOT A BUILDING.
It's a masterpiece of creation created by ARCHITECTS.

A good one.
A very good one i think.

it's
creation
thinking
design
art

It's everything

And,
it's about us.
